Dr. Gim-Hooi Choo is a Consultant Cardiologist at the Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) Hospital in Malaysia and serves as a Visiting Professor of Medicine at Tan Tao University Medical School in Vietnam. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Malaya in 1993 and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1997. He holds fellowships across several major regional and international bodies, including the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Asian-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (APSIC).
Dr. Choo balances his clinical practice with key advisory roles, serving as a Board Member of APSIC and a Council Member for both the National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM) and the Interventional Cardiac Society of Malaysia (ICSM). He sits on the steering committees for the Malaysian National Cardiovascular Database for PCI and the MySTEMI Network. His specific clinical and research specializations include complex coronary interventions, transcatheter aortic valve interventions (TAVI), and cardiac CT imaging. He is an active medical educator and serves on the editorial and reviewer panels of several cardiology publications, including the Chinese Medical Journal.
