Michael Doumas

Michael Doumas is a Professor of Internal Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and serves as the Head of the Second Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine at Hippokration Hospital in Greece. His clinical and research operations center on cardiovascular medicine, focusing extensively on arterial ipertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and renal sympathetic denervation.

Professor Doumas is a member of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) Board, where he leads the Excellence Centers and Hypertension Specialists program. He has published more than 450 scientific papers and is an author of the 2023 guidelines and the 2024 Clinical Practice guidelines for the management of arterial ipertension issued by the ESH.
