Marina Janelidze is a distinguished neurologist and academic leader, currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Neurology at Tbilisi State Medical University and the S. Khechinashvili University Hospital in Georgia. Her career, spanning several decades, has been dedicated to the advancement of clinical neurology, with a specialized focus on primary dementias and cognitive disorders.

Her clinical and leadership experience is extensive, having held top-level positions at the Sarajishvili Institute of Neurology, where she served as Deputy Director and Head of the Neurological Clinic. Academically, she earned her Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in 1995 with a dissertation on the clinical and therapeutic aspects of primary dementias. She is also deeply involved in the non-governmental sector as the Secretary General of the Georgian Union of Neurologists.

Professor Janelidze has contributed significantly to scientific literature, including the translation of core neuroanatomy texts and the publication of numerous studies in international journals such as BMC Neurology and Neurology Research International. Her recent research focuses on the validation of cognitive assessment tools for multiple sclerosis (BICAMS) and the study of rare neurological syndromes.
