Guido Grassi is a world-renowned authority in hypertension and internal medicine, currently serving as a Full Professor of Internal Medicine at the University Milano-Bicocca. He commands top clinical leadership roles as the Director of the Clinica Medica Institute at the Saint Gerardo Hospital in Monza, alongside directing post-graduate and public health doctoral programs.
Professor Grassi has acted as a driving force across foundational European and national medical frameworks, serving as a Past President of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH), Past President of the Italian Society of Hypertension, and an influential task force author for the 2023 international hypertension guidelines. His elite scientific standing is continuously highlighted by his inclusion in the top-ten global rankings for hypertension experts. He has authored more than 850 original papers, heavily evaluating the pathophysiology of the sympathetic nervous system, cardiac arrhythmias, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and chronic heart failure.
