Meltem Kutlar Joss

Dr. Meltem Kutlar Joss is an environmental scientist with a doctoral degree in Public Health. She worked as a senior scientific collaborator at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Basel as project manager of LUDOK, the Swiss literature database on health effects of air pollution. She specialized in literature searches, evidence synthesis, risk assessments, and environmental health. To date, she works in air pollution control enforcement at the cantonal office for environment and energy Basel-Stadt, Switzerland.

Dr. Kutlar Joss has authored reviews on health effects of air pollutants for national and international bodies and serves on the Swiss Federal Commission on Air Hygiene, advising on air pollution policy and its effects on health and environment.
