Gioacchino Tedeschi

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery, specialist in Neurology, prof. Tedeschi, after prolonged international research experiences conducted in France (Synthelabo Research Laboratories, Paris), Great Britain (Dept. of Pharmacology, University of Wales, Cardiff) and USA (Neuroimaging Branch, NIH, Bethesda, MD), in 2000 became Professor of Neurology at University of Campania “L. Vanvitelli”, Naples, Italy. In Naples he is Chief of Dept of Neurology, and Scientific Director of the Center for Advanced Neuroimaging. He is currently Past President of the Italian Society of Neurology. He is an Elected Member of the American Neurological Association. He has received numerous national and international awards and is responsible for research projects founded on peer reviewer’s basis. He is among the Top Italian Scientists based on scientific publications (562), and the H Index (66). His scientific interests concern the application of advanced MRI techniques to the study of neurological disorders. He coordinates cutting-edge research groups in the field of multiple sclerosis, parkinsonism, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, headaches, and dementias.
