Dr. Basil Abu-El-Haija is an internationally recognized Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist with extensive clinical and research experience gained at top-tier medical centers in the United States. After earning his MD from the University of Jordan, he moved to the USA to complete prestigious fellowships at the University of Iowa, the Kansas University Medical Center, and the University of North Carolina. He further advanced his expertise with a specialized fellowship in complex arrhythmias at Harbor-UCLA in Los Angeles.

A Board-Certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Abu-El-Haija is an expert in cutting-edge technologies, including Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) for atrial fibrillation and the implantation of advanced cardiac devices. His contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice; he has authored multiple chapters in renowned textbooks, such as Netter’s Cardiology, and published significant research in high-impact scientific journals, including studies involved with the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Currently, he holds a key leadership position as the President of the Scientific and Academic Committee of the Jordan Heart Rhythm Society, an organization he helped establish to align national guidelines with international standards. Committed to bridging US and Middle Eastern medical excellence, he leads medical missions and academic collaborations, while also serving as a faculty member and consultant at the Jordan University Hospital and King Abdullah University Hospital.
