Tove Fall

Tove Fall is a Professor of Molecular Epidemiology at Uppsala University, Sweden, where she directs an active research group of 12 epidemiology scientists. She holds a PhD and operates within the Department of Medical Sciences at the Uppsala University Hospital.

Her core research program targets the genetic, microbial, and metabolic determinants of cardiometabolic conditions. By leveraging large, population-based patient cohorts and sophisticated multi-omics approaches, Professor Fall's laboratory integrates genomics and gut microbiome datasets to unpack the foundational biological mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity, with the long-term goal of optimizing risk prediction, clinical diagnosis, and disease prevention.
