Nino Bortsvadze is a highly experienced healthcare communication specialist and medical professional with over 20 years of expertise spanning clinical medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, and academia. Currently, she serves as the Healthcare Communication Education Lead at the Georgian Federation of Doctors for Continuous Medical Education (GFDCME), where she leads strategic initiatives to enhance doctor-patient communication standards nationwide.

Her diverse career is defined by several key roles:

  • National Leadership: She is the National Representative for Georgia at the International Association for Healthcare Communication (EACH), facilitating knowledge exchange between Georgian and international healthcare communities.
  • Pharmaceutical Expertise: She spent 18 years at Berlin-Chemie/Menarini Group, progressing from Medical Representative to Product Manager for OTC & RX, where she managed comprehensive portfolios and developed strategic marketing plans.
  • Academic Teaching: Since 2025, she has been an Invited Lecturer at European University in Tbilisi, teaching medical leadership and research courses.
  • Clinical Background: She practiced as a Doctor-Endocrinologist at the Central Hospital of Tbilisi State Medical University, specializing in diabetes and thyroid disorders.

Nino holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Endocrinology from Tbilisi State Medical University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Georgia.
