Juan Gomez Rivas

Dr. Juan Gómez Rivas is a leading academic urologist based in Madrid, Spain. He serves as a Consultant Urologist at the Hospital Universitario La Paz and is an Associate Professor of Urology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Dr. Gómez Rivas has established himself as a prominent figure in the European urological community, currently serving as the Chairman of the EAU Young Academic Urologists (YAU) and as a member of the EAU Guidelines office for prostate cancer.

His clinical interests are focused on prostate cancer diagnostics, focal therapy, and robotic surgery. A prolific researcher, he has authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles and is an Associate Editor for European Urology Focus. Dr. Gómez Rivas is also heavily involved in medical education and innovation, chairing the ESU/ESUT/ESUI masterclass on focal therapy and participating in international surgical training programs.
