Linda Mellbin is an experienced researcher and medical educator who graduated with a University Medical Degree from the Karolinska Institutet in 2000. She later deepened her academic specialization at the same institution, defending her thesis on screening strategies for dysglycaemia in relation to cardiovascular risk within the Department of Medicine (Solna) to earn her Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 2010.
Building upon her extensive background in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Mellbin is appointed as an Adjunct Professor within the Department of Medicine at the Karolinska Institutet for a tenure spanning 2025 to 2029. Her academic and clinical practice is closely integrated with the Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset in Solna, Stockholm, where she collaborates heavily within the research frameworks directed by Professor John Pernow.
