Athanasios G. Trikas

Athanasios G. Trikas is an accomplished senior cardiologist with a long-standing career in clinical practice, research, and pharmacology. After graduating and obtaining his PhD with honors from the University of Athens, he expanded his research foundation in heart failure as a fellow at the Hammersmith Hospital in London.

His extensive career appointments include serving as the Senior Director of the Cardiology Department at the General Hospital ELPIS for nearly due decenni, and subsequently transitioning to his current role as the Senior Director of the Cardiology Department at the General Hospital EVAGGELISMOS in Athens. Alongside his hospital leadership, he is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and serves as the Secretary of the Hellenic Cardiological Society. His core research focuses on the medical treatment of heart failure, left atrial physiology, cardiomyopathies, and arterial elasticity.
