Mario Venditti

Mario Venditti is full Professor of Infectious Diseases and Head of the Nosocomial Infections Program, Dept. of Public Health & Infectious Infectious Diseases - Policlinico Umberto -University “Sapienza” -Rome. His area of interest are the nosocomial infections and infections in immunocompromized patients. He has conducted national and international studies on anti-infective agents, and clinical syndromes such as endocarditis and septic thrombosis, bloodstream infections, febrile neutropenia, fungal infections in various patient populations, severe infections by ESBL producing enterobacteriaeae, carbapenem resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae & Acinetobacter, pneumonia, bone and joint infections, and others. To date he author of more than 300 indexed articles, with an H-index of 44 (calculated by Scopus, accessed December 20, 2019).
