Luis Alcocer

Prof. Luis Alcocer, M.D., Specialist in Cardiology, Master in Hospital Administration and Public Health., Master in Cardiovascular Theory, Certified Expert in Arterial Hypertension He is currently the General Director of the Mexican Institute of Cardiovascular Health and President of IASH (Inter American Society of Hypertension). Past President: LASH (Latin American Society of Hypertension) and Past President Interamerican Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Distinguished Professor of the National Association of Cardiologists of Mexico (ANCAM), of the Mexican Association for the Prevention of Atherosclerosis and its Complications (AMPAC) and of the Group of Experts in Arterial Hypertension (GREHTA). Recognition of the Inter-American Society of Cardiology (SIAC-202) for his career in Cardiology. Until 2014, Head of the Cardiology Service of the General Hospital of Mexico, Professor of the Postgraduate Course in Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, UNAM. Level 4 researcher at the National Institutes of Health of Mexico. Dr. Alcocer has written more than 20 specialized books and has collaborated on 25 international books with some chapters on cardiology. He has more than 250 publications in international journals and has participated in more than 1500 continuing medicaleducation courses in Mexico, Latin America, the United States and Europe.
