Prof. Lina Badimon is the Chief of the Molecular Pathology and Therapeutics of Ischemic and Atherothrombotic Diseases Group at IR-Hospital Santa Creu and San Pau, Director of the Cardiovascular Research Chair of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Professor at the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC), and Director of the UNESCO Chair in Biomedical Sciences Training and Research. She is Visiting Professor of Manchester University (UK) and of Paris-East Val de Marne (FR). Her research activities focus on ischemic heart diseases, cardio-metabolic diseases, thrombosis and atherosclerosis. She has published over 660 articles in highly qualified scientific journals with her work highly quoted (H-index: 88. Number of citations: >70,630. ORCID number: 0000-0002-9162-2459). She has written more of 250 reviews and book chapters. She is Member of Editorial Boards of various international scientific journals and Member of Scientific Advisory Boards of International Research Institutions and Funding Agencies.
