Dr. Peppin is board certified in Internal Medicine and pain medicine, and was elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Kentucky Colonel in 2009 and PainWeek 2011 Clinician of the Year. Formerly Medical Director,Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals; Chief Medical Officer, Castle Medical and Medical Director Shionogi, Inc. He currently is a consultant in the clinical areas of pain, palliative and internal medicine. Currently Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Marian University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and clinical Professor for University of Pikeville, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has published over 80 articles in the fields of pain management, palliative care, internal medicine and bioethics and edited books and given numerous lectures, papers and posters at national and international conferences. Dr. Peppin has been a principle investigator for over 80 clinical trials. He has had other research projects, NIH grants and other grants in his career as well. He is and was a reviewer for multiple journals and for the Cochrane Collaboration (PaPaS).
