Elisa Franco De Assis Costa

She holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Goiás in 1987, specialization in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics from 1987 to 1990, and a Master's degree in Tropical Medicine at the Institute of . Tropical Pathology and Public Health from the Federal University of Goiás in 2004. She is currently professor of Geriatric Medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Goiás. She is also a past—president (2004 – 2006) from the Brazilian Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology and still a member of it’s Council. She is a member Technical Chamber of Geriatrics of the Federal Council of Medicine. She has experience in the area of Geriatrics and Medical Education, working mainly on the following topics: geriatrics and gerontology, geriatric semiology, geriatric evaluation, geriatric syndromes and frailty, sarcopenia and nutrition, dementia care and multicomplexity
