Dr. Zheng-Wei Chen is an esteemed Attending Physician in Cardiology at National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). He earned his M.D. from the National Taiwan University College of Medicine and has since established himself as a leading expert in interventional cardiology and critical care medicine. His clinical and research focus is particularly distinguished by his work in primary aldosteronism, hypertension, and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH).

Dr. Chen is a prolific researcher with nearly 60 publications in prestigious medical journals such as the Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA) and The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. His academic contributions have significantly advanced the understanding of subclinical systolic dysfunction, arterial stiffness, and the development of evidence-based guidelines for primary aldosteronism. He is also recognized for his expertise in Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA) and the application of artificial intelligence in ECG algorithms for coronary artery disease.

His professional excellence has been recognized with numerous awards, including the First Place in the Young Investigation Award from the Taiwan Society of Cardiology (TSOC) and the Best Case Award at the TCTAP summit. Dr. Chen is an active member of the Taiwan Society of Cardiovascular Interventions and the Taiwan Society of Aldosteronism, where he continues to bridge the gap between scientific research and clinical practice.
