Vinothan Sunderalingam

Dr. Vinothan Sunderalingam is a Consultant Cardiologist based at the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa in Sri Lanka. He earned his MBBS from the University of Jaffna, where he was awarded the gold medal for best performance in Clinical Medicine, and holds an MD from the University of Colombo. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) and an associate member of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Sunderalingam specializes in general and interventional cardiology, regularly performing catheter laboratory sessions at Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital. He is deeply involved in academic and organizational activities, serving as a Council Member for the Sri Lanka College of Cardiology and as an examiner for Eastern University. His research work includes case reports on Takotsubo cardiomyopathy and audits on heart failure pharmacotherapy, and he serves as a sub-investigator for the TRIUMPH clinical trial on hypertension management.
