Chris Miller

Chris Miller is a Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and a Cardiologist based in Manchester, UK. He leads the UK HFpEF national programme, a multi-faceted initiative designed to accelerate the development of new treatments for Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF). The programme's goals include establishing a large, prospective patient cohort for detailed investigations, setting up an open-access translational research platform, and creating a continuous trial platform for efficient evaluation of multiple academic and industry interventions. Clinically, he runs a busy HFpEF service receiving referrals from across the North West of England and directs the BHF Manchester Centre for Heart and Lung Magnetic Resonance Research, where he uses CMR to study mechanisms, improve diagnosis, and evaluate new therapies for HFpEF.
