Dr. Min Soo Cho is a distinguished cardiologist and Associate Professor of Electrophysiology at the Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Since earning his medical degree from Yeungnam University and his Ph.D. from Ulsan University, he has built an extensive career focused on clinical electrophysiology and cardiovascular research. His expertise is further enhanced by international experience, currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) in the United States.
Dr. Cho is a prolific clinical researcher with a remarkable publication record in high-impact journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), JACC, and Circulation. He is particularly recognized for his leadership in major clinical trials, serving as a primary investigator for the EPIC-CAD trial, which evaluated antithrombotic therapies in patients with atrial fibrillation and stable coronary disease, and the EXCAPE-AF study comparing different ablation techniques for persistent atrial fibrillation.
His clinical and research interests encompass the mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias, outcomes of electrophysiologic interventions, and big-data research. Dr. Cho has contributed significantly to the understanding of stroke prevention in Asian patients, the impact of left atrial enlargement, and the development of novel pacing techniques. He is an active member of the Korean Heart Rhythm Society and the Korean Society of Cardiology, consistently bridging the gap between innovative clinical trials and bedside patient care.
