Luisa Miranda Morel works at the intersection of social justice, public health, climate and air quality urban policy. She is the equity and inclusion lead for Breathe Cities — and Chair of C40’s Clean Air Network ‘Equity in Air Quality’ Technical Working Group. Through her work, Luisa ensures that policy-making teams are supported to address health disparities and integrate fair transition principles into air quality interventions in cities across Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America; while working with and supporting local residents to be agents of change and thrive in their environments. Luisa’s approach is shaped by her experience as a grassroots organiser, activist and her technical background working on urban resilience and community action with organisations such as CARE International, The Philippine Alliance, and TECHO Colombia. She holds a Masters from the Development Planning Unit at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
