Eveliene Manten-Horst

After graduating in biomedical sciences and finishing her PhD with a dissertation on 'Adhesion molecules. Their role in lymphocyte recirculation and lymphoma dissemination' at the Free University Amsterdam (1991), Eveliene Manten-Horst (1963) worked in various fields and levels within healthcare, among which: leader of development programs for care-professionals at the university hospital Amsterdamumc, Amsterdam; developer of 2.0 patient participation; senior advisor healthcare of the Dutch Federation of university hospitals (DFU); and board secretary of the client counsel DFU. Her current activities as director of the Dutch AYA-care network (the partnership of university hospitals and general hospitals in the Netherlands who provide in close collaboration AYA-care by trained healtcare professionals) focus on implementing and improving integrated AYA-care in the Netherlands, training AYA careproviders in providing AYA-care and integrating ‘Cancer at AYA age’ research results within AYA-care and development programs.
