Emil Wolsk

Emil Wolsk, MD, PhD, is a Danish cardiologist and clinical researcher who specializes in heart failure and cardiovascular hemodynamics. He is recognized for his contributions to the understanding of cardiac function and developing treatment strategies for patients with acute and chronic heart failure.


Currently, he is a Medical Doctor specializing in Cardiology and Physiology at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital in Denmark. In this role, he serves as the head of The Heart Failure Unit and the Head of Multidisciplinary Exercise Intolerance and Dyspnea Clinic. Additionally, he is an active researcher, focusing on HFpEF and advanced hemodynamic measurements, and is an integral part of the CAPTURE-HFpEF national initiative in Denmark. He has also held a postdoctoral research position at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, which is associated with Harvard Medical School.
