Yukiko Kurihara

I am Yukiko Kurihara, an Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo School of Medicine. Since I established endothelin-1 knockout mice, which unexpectedly showed craniofacial abnormalities and elevated blood pressure, I have been studying the role of endothelin in development. Recently, I have had the opportunity to work with human ETAR mutations and have elucidated the mechanism of the cases through molecular biology and MD simulation, which provides a new insight into GPCR research and drug design.
