One of the leaders in endocrinology, diabetology, and cardiovascular diseases in Russia HIGHLIGHTS Doctor of Sciences and Professor, she is the author of more than 280 scientific papers, 12 textbook chapters, 6 books and 4 manuals, with publications in numerous prestigious Russian and International journals, Member of Russian Endocrinology Association, Chairperson of Obesity and Metabolism Section Presidium of Russian Medical Therapeutic Scientific Society, Head of the Endocrinology Section, Member of Presidium of The International Society “Stress under control”, Inspector in Roszdravnadzor and etc. She is also a member of the editorial board of «Diabetes Mellitus» «Women’s Health», «Endocrinology: news, opinions, studies”, «Therapy» journals. She carries teaching activities at the Endocrinology department at the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (Faculty of Internal medicine) in Moscow, professor of the Endocrinology department of Russian Medical Academy for Advanced Medical Studies. CLINICAL ACTIVITY Main activities in the field of diabetology, cardiology, involving in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease, diagnosis and treatment of obesity and arterial hypertention, prevention of microvascular complications. RESEARCH ACTIVITY Research activity in the field of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity, focusing on the problems of diagnosis and advanced approaches in treatment of cardiovascular disease, special focus of interest is investigations of insulin resistance, insulin secretion and the related metabolic factors involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications and others. Current research activity is in the field of the genetic of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity, microbiota and preventive diabetology.
