Scott D. Solomon, MD is the Edward D. Frohlich Distinguished Chair, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He directs the Clinical Trials Outcomes Center and the Cardiac Imaging Core Laboratory and directed Noninvasive Cardiology from 2000-2020. His research interests have focused on cardiac structure and function following myocardial injury and heart failure, modifiers of risk and outcomes in heart failure, and therapeutics for heart failure. He is a world-renowned clinical trialist, having led numerous phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials in heart failure, including heart failure with mildly reduced and preserved ejection fraction. His work has led to the introduction of several key therapeutics in heart failure. He has published more than 1000 peer-reviewed articles, three textbooks of echocardiography. He serves as Editor for Braunwald’s Heart Disease.
