Pedro Henrique Imenez Silva is assistant professor at Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam with the main research focus on the interaction between acid-base balance and renal pathophysiology. He obtained his Ph.D degree from the University of Sao Paulo under the supervision of Prof. Nancy A. Rebouças and in 2014 joined Prof. Carsten Wagner group (University of Zurich), where he was awarded a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship (IKPP2 programme). From 2018 to 2022 he worked as a junior principal investigator after receiving an early-career research grant from the National Center of Competence in Research Kidney CH. in Switzerland to investigate the role of proton sensors in kidney health and disease.
