The majority of my workload relates to airway pathology, with GOS being a tertiary and quaternary referral centre for patients from the UK and abroad. I am the lead ENT surgeon to the nationally funded craniofacial unit at GOS, where we treat the largest cohort of children with syndromic craniosynostosis in the UK. I am recognised as a world leader in the management of airway problems in these patients. I am currently Head of the Departments of ENT, Audiology and Cochlear Implantation at Great Ormond Street having been appointed in April 2015. I lecture widely both Nationally and Internationally and teach on a number of courses having been an examiner for the Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. I am part of the National Tracheostomy Safety Project and have written the paediatric guidelines for their manual and website. I am President elect of the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology having been on its council since 2015. I was Vice President of the Section of Laryngology and Rhinology at the Royal Society of Medicine (2017-18) and remain active on its council. I am the UK representative on the international Paediatric Otolaryngology Guidelines group and act as a specialist advisor to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
