Luca Savelli

HIGHLIGHTS Dr. Luca Savelli is a Gynecologist and Obstetrician working in Bologna, at Policlinico S. Orsola-Malpighi. His special field of interest is gynaecologic ultrasound, and minimally invasive surgery. He graduated at the University of Bologna, and later on completed the residency program. He is the author of over 70 scientific papers, with publications in numerous prestigious international journals. He is a member of the editorial board of \"Global Reproduction\", and reviewer of \"Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology\", “American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology” and \"Tumori Journal\". He has workerd as a Research Fellow in Gynecologic Oncology In Helsinki (Finland), aiming at developing new models for an early diagnosis of -ovarian cancer. CLINICAL ACTIVITY Main activities in the field of gynaecologic oncology, involving the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian and endometrial cancer, including fertility-sparing treatment. . RESEARCH ACTIVITY Research activity in the field of ultrasound, focussing on the problems of fertility and endometriosis, gynaecologic oncology, TEACHING ACTIVITY Speaker of the ISUOG (International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology) annual international congress since 2000, and in several national and international courses. He regularly carries out teaching activities at the Universities of Bologna and Firenze, where he is in charge for a Course on Gynecologic Ultrasound. He obtained the qualification as Assistant Professor in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 2012.
