Julie Shaw

Julie Shaw is the Division Head for Biochemistry and Director of Point of Care Testing (POCT) at The Ottawa Hospital. She is also the Regional Discipline Lead for Biochemistry and POCT for the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratories Association. Julie is chair of the POCT Special Interest group of the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists (CSCC) and has served two terms as the CSCC representative on the IFCC POCT working group. Julie is also a member of the ADLM critical and POCT executive committee. Julie will serve as chair of the 2024 ADLM International POCT Symposium, which will be held in San Diego, California. Julie’s research interests are focused on quality assurance practices for POCT.
