VU University Medical Center Amsterdam Amsterdam, NL Resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology HIGHLIGHTS After a combined PhD project in Belgium and the Netherlands, she defend her PhD thesis titled ‘Cancer in Pregnancy; Past, Present and Future’ in February 2019. In July 2017, she started as a resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Amsterdam University Medical Centers. CLINICAL ACTIVITY As a resident in obstetric and gynaecology, she is currently working the peripheral clinic ‘Spaarne Gasthuis’ in Haarlem, the Netherlands. In March 2020 she will continue her residency in the Amsterdam University Medical Center. RESEARCH ACTIVITY During her PhD project she transformed the international registration study on cancer in pregnancy to its current form, making it possible to not only register patients with cancer during pregnancy, but also patients with postpartum cancer and patients undergoing fertility preserving treatments. Her research activity in the field of cancer during pregnancy led to a publication as a first author of the largest cohort on cancer during pregnancy, publish in The Lancet Oncology in 2018. TEACHING ACTIVITY She has been a speaker at several national and international congresses with the focus on the international registration study on cancer during pregnancy and its results.
