Jonathan Yap

Clinical Associate Professor Jonathan Jiunn Liang Yap is a Senior Consultant in Interventional Cardiology and the Director of Structural Heart Interventions at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). He holds medical degrees from the National University of Singapore and advanced qualifications in public health and palliative medicine. Dr. Yap further specialized in structural heart interventions during a fellowship at the University of California, Davis.

With a Google H-index of 31 and over 150 publications, Dr. Yap is a prolific researcher and editor, serving on the boards of JACC Case Reports and the Journal of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology. His expertise spans complex coronary interventions, TAVR, and mitral valve repairs. He is a leader in academic cardiology, serving as the Director of the Duke-NUS Cardiovascular Sciences Academic Clinical Programme and the Secretary of the Singapore Cardiac Society. He also developed the interactive teaching app "Dr ECG," which has reached thousands of users globally.
