John Palios

Doctor John Palios is currently Director of the Cardiac MRI department at Metropolitan Hospital, Athens, Greece. He has worked as Post-Doctoral Cardiac Imaging Fellow at the Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, USA. His field of expertise is cardiac MRI, cardiac CT and echocardiography. He studied medicine in the University of Athens, Greece and specialized in Cardiology in Attikon University Hospital of Athens, Greece. He obtained a Doctoral Diploma (Ph.D.) from the University of Athens, School of Medicine, for his research in Atherosclerosis in HIV infected patients. He has given many talks to international conferences and has published numerous manuscripts regarding cardiac MRI, echocardiography, cardiovascular research and clinical cardiology. He is the President elected (2024-2026) of Cardiovascular imaging modalities Working Group of the Greek Society of Cardiology and member of EACVI and SCMR.
