James Chalmers

Professor of Respiratory Medicine University of Dundee Ninewells Hospital and Medical School Dundee, UK Professor James Chalmers is the British Lung Foundation Chair of Respiratory Research at the University of Dundee and a consultant respiratory physician at Ninewells Hospital. His research and clinical interests are in difficult lung infections. He chairs the European Bronchiectasis Registry (EMBARC) and chaired the 2017 ERS Bronchiectasis Guidelines, the 2020 ERS COPD inhaled corticosteroid guidelines and currently chairs the ERS COVID19 task force. He is current deputy chief editor of the ERJ.
