Cardiovascular disease and interventions consultant Dr Abu- Hantash was born in Tulkarem in the west bank where he finished high school then studied medicine at Alexandria University in Egypt. He obtained a Masters degree in cardiovascular physiology from the university of llinois in USA and joined the Cleveland Clinic for cardiovascular research and internal medicine training. He then completed a cardiovascular fellowship at George Washington University in DC in USA. Dr Hadi joined a group practice affiliated with academic centers in USA where he practiced cardiovascular disease management and interventions. He returned to Amman to head the cardiology department at the Islamic hospital for one year. Since then he has been in private practice and joined the University of Jordan Cardiology department as part time teaching attending. Dr Hadi is involved in local regional and international clinical research trials and is an active advisory member of several international pharmaceuticals and cardiovascular medical technologies companies. He is holding valid up to date certification and Re-certification of the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology and is current in the maintenance of certification pathway [MOC] of the ABIM.
