Helen Triantafyllidi is an experienced cardiologist currently serving as an Attending Cardiologist in the 2nd Department of Cardiology at ATTIKON University Hospital in Athens, Greece, a position she has held since February 2004. She completed her initial degree from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1988, followed by her graduation from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1992. After securing her medical license in Athens, she completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Hippokration Hospital in 1999 and earned her PhD in Invasive Cardiology in 2002. Her professional training includes postgraduate studies in Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, as well as research in Atherosclerosis and Hypertension at Boston University.

Alongside her role as an attending physician, she serves as the Head of the Hypertensive Outpatient Clinic and the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test Laboratory at ATTIKON Hospital. Throughout her career, she has been elected to prestigious leadership positions within Greek medical societies, serving as President of the Working Group of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension of the Hellenic Cardiological Society (2008–2010), President of the Working Group of Preventive Cardiology of the Greek College of Cardiology (2015–2016, 2023–2024), and President of the Hellenic Working Group of Prevention and Cardiac Rehabilitation of the Hellenic Cardiological Society (2024–2026). Her core research activities focus heavily on arterial hypertension, lipids, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
