Giuseppe Ambrosio is a distinguished Professor of Cardiology and the Scientific Director of the Italian National Institute for Cardiovascular Research (INRC). Throughout his extensive career, he has held numerous clinical and academic leadership positions at the University of Perugia and served as an honorary faculty member at international institutions such as the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the University of Buenos Aires.

His scientific impact is exceptionally high, with an H-index of 96, over 400 peer-reviewed papers, and more than 60,000 academic citations. Professor Ambrosio's research heavily covers acute coronary syndromes, myocardial stunning, microcirculation, and health management. He also maintains key administrative roles within the European Society of Cardiology and the Heart Failure Association.
