Anthony Figaji MBChB, MMED, FCS (Neurosurgery), PhD Tony Figaji is a Professor and Head of Paediatric Neurosurgery at the University of Cape Town and at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. He is the National Research Foundation SARChI Chair of Clinical Neurosciences; he is the current Secretary and past scientific chair of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, and current scientific chair of the Society of Neurosurgeons of South Africa. He is the immediate past president of the International Neurotrauma Society and a founder member of GlobalNeuro, an organisation formed to teach neurotrauma across the world. He is active in several international organizations with interests in paediatric neurosurgery, neurotrauma, and intraoperative neurophysiology for brain tumour surgery.
