Felix Knauf

Felix Knauf

Professor Felix Knauf was born in Freiburg, Germany, and studied medicine at the University Freiburg and Berlin. He completed his doctoral thesis in the Department of Physiology and Internal Medicine at Yale University followed by a subinternship at Weill Cornell Medical School New York and Hopital Lariboisière in Paris. Felix Knauf completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Nephrology at Yale University. In 2011, he joined the Yale faculty as an attending physician in Internal Medicine and remains an Assistant Professor Adjunct. In 2017, Felix Knauf took a position at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, Germany. He is currently the vice chair of nephrology and tenured professor on tubuloreneal disorders. In summer of 2024, Felix Knauf will be joining the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
