Director of Echocardiography, Liverpool Hospital Professor of Cardiology, University of New South Wales Sydney, Australia He is a senior staff interventional cardiologist and Director of Echocardiography at the Liverpool Hospital, South west Sydney Local Health District and conjoint Professor of Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, Hong Kong College of Physicians and The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has a PhD from the University of New South Wales. His current research interests include valvular heart disease, ventricular and atrial function, exercise physiology, diabetic heart disease, microvascular dysfunction, acute coronary syndrome and interventional cardiology. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and supervises a number of BSc (Hons), Masters and PhD students. He has been invited to speak in numerous national and international meetings and has published more than 200 papers in peer reviewed journals, book chapters, editorials, reviews and invited articles in major international journals. He was nominated for Australian of the year award in 2014 and received the Clinical Dean’s Award 2018.
