This is a presentation of Dr. C. Baratto's Curriculum Vitae, highlighting her expertise and achievements in cardiovascular medicine.


Dr. Baratto is a highly qualified specialist whose professional focus lies in advanced cardiovascular diagnostics and the management of complex cardiac conditions, particularly heart failure and pulmonary vascular disease in both acute and chronic settings. Her diagnostic skills are comprehensive, encompassing right and left heart catheterization, transthoracic and stress echocardiography, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Beyond clinical practice, she demonstrates a strong capacity for clinical research, the conduct of clinical trials, and the tutoring and mentoring of medical students and trainees.


Her professional trajectory includes her current roles as a Researcher at the University of Bergamo (since November 2024) and a Staff Cardiologist and Researcher at the Dyspnea and Pulmonary Hypertension Center at IRCCS S. Luca Hospital, Istituto Auxologico Italiano in Milan (since November 2021). Prior to this, she completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Pulmonary Vascular Diseases and Heart Failure in Brussels, Belgium (2020-2021), following a residency in cardiovascular medicine in Milan (2016-2020).


Dr. Baratto’s academic credentials include a PhD in Medical Sciences and Public Health (2020-2024) and a Specialization in Cardiovascular Medicine (2016-2020), both achieved with honors. She holds a significant record of scholarly contributions, having authored or co-authored 37 publications in the last five years, with 12 as first, equally first, or corresponding author in high-impact Q1-Q2 cardiovascular medicine journals. Her research prowess is further evidenced by her H-index of 12 and the receipt of multiple prestigious awards and grants, including a 2020 Research Grant from the European Society of Cardiology and the "Paper of the Year 2021" award from the Journal of Applied Physiology. She is fully licensed to practice medicine in both Italy and Belgium.
