Christabel Burton, having retired from a career in management consultancy, is now active in projects related to sustainability. In brief a practitioner of biodiversity, a beekeeper and an evangelist for cleaner air.
She is the acting president of Associazione Parco Segantini ets (APS), an NPO founded in 2013 by a group of citizens interested in transforming 90,000 m2 of abandoned space, near the city centre, into a park via a novel approach of collaboration between citizens and the Milan Commune.
Her activities include keeping contact with the Municipality and different departments of the Commune, promoting labs on air quality in local schools, inviting local schools to park activities concerning environmental issues, interacting with university research projects on biodiversity and bird population, contacting and devising activities with local associations, NGOs and NPOs.
On a practical level she oversees and helps implement the yearly crop rotation of the vegetable gardens, the maintenance of the wooded area, plans and organizes community events in the park.
In her former profession she worked as a management consultant in diverse contexts such as work-outs, valuations, acquisitions, start-ups, finance.

She graduated from the London School of Economics, Bsc, after attending the International School of Geneva.
