Chandan Deepak Bhavnani

Dr. Chandan Deepak Bhavnani is a distinguished Malaysian Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Physician with over a decade of comprehensive clinical experience. He is currently based at Hospital Sultan Idris Shah in Serdang, Malaysia. Dr. Bhavnani’s academic credentials include an MBBS from Melaka Manipal Medical College and advanced professional certifications as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP Edin).

Dr. Bhavnani has a deep clinical background, having performed over 3,000 diagnostic coronary angiographies and more than 1,500 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) as a lead operator. His expertise was further refined through high-level fellowships in the United Kingdom at St. Thomas’ Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London, where he specialized in complex interventional cardiology.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Bhavnani is a dedicated researcher and author. He has been a participant in several major commercial trials, including the SELECT and SOUL studies investigating the effects of Semaglutide on heart disease and diabetes. He has contributed to prestigious medical literature, including the European Heart Journal and the Journal of Invasive Cardiology, and has authored chapters for the National Cardiovascular Disease (NCVD) ACS Registry books in Malaysia. Recognized for his professional excellence, he received the Excellence Service Award in 2017–2018.
