Prof. Angelo G Corsico is Full Professor of Respiratory Medicine (at the Department of Internal Medicine and Therapeutics), Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavia-Italy and Director of the Pulmonogy Unit at Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, Pavia. He is also Chief of the Center for Diagnosis of Inherited Alpha1- antitrypsin Deficiency, IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, Pavia, and Director of Center for diagnosing and coordinating the Italian Registry for alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency. Education and Training: Graduation in Medicine and Surgery (University of Pavia, 1990); Specialization in Allergy and Clinical Immunology (University of Pavia ,1994); Specialization in Respiratory Medicine (University of Pavia,1998); PhD in Experimental Lung Physiology (University of Parma, 2003. Membership of Learned Societies: Member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of the Italian Respiratory Society (SIP/IRS); Member of the Steering Committee of the European Community Respiratory Health Survey (ECRHS); Co-Head of ERN-LUNG's Functional Committee \"Registries and Biobanks\"; Member of the Steering Committee of the European Alpha-1 Research Collaboration (EARCO); Member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS). Awards : 2003 European Respiratory Society “Local COPD Research Award 2003” Scientific activities: more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals; 6 international books. H-index 47 (Scopus)
