Andrea Padoan

He is associate professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Department of Medicine (DIMED), University of Padova, Italy. He attained the Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Milano-Bicocca. During the Ph.D. period, in 2013 he was trainee at the Department of Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry of Baltimore Medical School at John Hopkins, Baltimore, MD, USA. He teaches Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Risk and Emergency Laboratory at the University of Padova. His main diagnostic fields regard the gastro-intestinal diseases, for the inflammatory chronic diseases. Main fields of research regards the artificial intelligence, inflammatory bowel disease and immunological response to infection. For his scientific research achieve an award, for a special role for spreading of the Laboratory Medicine culture across citizens, Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology (SIBioC). He is co-author of two international patents. Moreover, he’s member of the European Federation of Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) and of the Italian Society of Laboratory Medicine (SIBIOC).
