RATIONALE
Over the past decade, the fields of urology and andrology have undergone profound transformation, driven by technological innovation, continuous advances in minimally invasive surgical techniques, and the increasing integration of multidisciplinary expertise. At the same time, the rapid development of artificial intelligence, precision medicine, and a deeper understanding of disease pathophysiology is reshaping the diagnostic and therapeutic pathways for the management of major uro-andrological disorders.
In this evolving scenario, the International Uroandrology Congress has been conceived as an international platform for scientific exchange, bringing together renowned experts to discuss the latest evidence, emerging technologies, and future perspectives in contemporary urology and andrology. The meeting provides a valuable opportunity for professional development by promoting dialogue among specialists from different clinical and academic backgrounds, while encouraging the exchange of experience, best practices, and innovative healthcare models.
The scientific programme has been designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the most relevant topics in modern uroandrology. Particular attention will be devoted to robotic surgery, focusing on technological advances, current clinical indications, and technical aspects of the most commonly performed procedures, as well as to the expanding role of laser technologies in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and urinary stone disease. Additional sessions will address the role of open surgery in emergency and complex clinical settings, the management of functional urological disorders and male reproductive health, the relationship between metabolic syndrome and male infertility, and the latest therapeutic strategies for erectile dysfunction. A distinctive feature of the congress is its multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Through the contribution of experts in anaesthesiology, cardiology, nephrology, oncology, and related specialties, participants will explore integrated care pathways aimed at providing comprehensive management of patients with uro-andrological diseases, with particular emphasis on the management of comorbidities and the optimization of clinical outcomes.
The final session will focus on artificial intelligence and its expanding role in clinical practice, addressing topics such as clinical decision support systems, medical imaging, radiomics, healthcare management, and the future of precision medicine. The integration of technological innovation with clinical expertise represents one of the greatest challenges and opportunities facing urologists and andrologists in the years ahead. Through keynote lectures, state-of-the-art presentations, multidisciplinary discussions, and interactive exchanges with an internationally renowned faculty, the congress will provide participants with practical knowledge and evidence-based insights that can be translated into everyday clinical practice. Ultimately, the meeting aims to foster scientific collaboration, enhance professional knowledge, and contribute to improving the quality of care for patients affected by uro-andrological diseases.
